The Art of Installation #2

Ahead of the installation at City Arcadia Gallery of a new piece of work by Yasmeen Baig-Clifford and Adam Lewis-Jacob this workshop will focus on the intricacies of working with technologies including an introduction to ‘installing’ equipment, not art, and the impact that can have on the wider exhibition. This session will start with an introduction to handling art and using tools.
Course leader Ryan Hughes has installed exhibitions in various locations for festivals, galleries, museums and theatres including Fierce Festival, Ikon Gallery, Symphony Hall, Coventry Artspace Partnerships, Spon Spun, The Pod//Collective and many others. He is also the founder and Director of the Coventry Biennial and has curated exhibitions and events programmes in various locations including MK Gallery, Leamington Spa Art Gallery and Museum, Coventry Artspace Partnerships and non-art spaces including botanical gardens, mountain sides, places of worship as well as online and in print.
