We’re excited to share that Coventry Artspace has been awarded funding from Coventry City Council’s Cultural Resilience Grant 2025!
“This moment marks an exciting and fresh chapter for Artspace — we’re building on a long legacy of artist-led work while imagining how we can be more open, connected and resilient for the organisation’s future in Coventry. I see the future of Artspace, and artists are in it — shaping, questioning and leading the city’s creative future” said Lucy Grubb, Vice-chair of Coventry Artspace.
Since 1991, Coventry Artspace has been a place where artists come together to create, experiment and connect. From our beginnings at Koco Building, and then Lower Holyhead Road to our current home at Eaton House, we’ve always believed in the power of community: providing affordable studios, exhibition spaces and opportunities for artists to grow and share their work.
Over the next 12 months, this grant will help us shape what comes next. We’ll be:
- Working with artists, trustees and critical friends to build a new business plan that reflects who we are now and where we want to go.
- Strengthening partnerships across the city’s creative scene.
- Developing a digital strategy to update our website and make Artspace more accessible online.
- Supporting artists to visit and learn from other creative spaces, sharing what they discover through blogs and vlogs.
This funding allows us to focus on what matters most: creating the space to imagine what the next version of Artspace could be. A version that stays true to our roots but looks ahead, supporting artists and creativity in Coventry for years to come.
