Barranco

For the second installment in our #SpaceTimes window exhibition programme, Birmingham based artist Fred Hubble presents Barranco, a film documenting a performance he conducted in 2017 at Parque Natural Sierra María Los Vélez in Spain.
The work explores the traces people leave upon the natural world, challenging our perceptions of how we encounter and use areas of natural beauty. This work has also been shown in a forest at Yaga Gathering in Lithuania, it’s presentation in Coventry’s modernist arcade re-ignites these crucial conversations around public space, the environment and conservation.
Open until the 11th May 11am – 4pm.
To mark the close of this exhibition, at 5pm on the 11th May, Fred will unceremoniously re-perform this work through City Arcade.
