Artspace Staff
Lauryn Dunn is our Art Space Co-ordinator. Lauryn oversees the management of our artist spaces, provides support for Artspace events and is the first point of contact for anyone getting in touch with the organisation.
Mindy Chillery is the Company Secretary and book keeper and supports the Trustees with fundraising.
Tara Rutledge (freelance) manages Coventry Artspace’s social media accounts and supports Lauryn and the Trustees with marketing.
Other members of staff are recruited on a freelance basis as funding allows.
Artspace Trustees
Coventry Artspace is governed by a Board of Trustees who meet quarterly to review the organisation’s operations, management, finances, and risks. Our current Trustees (March 2024) are:
- Sarah Shalgosky
- Janet Tryner
- Hardish Virk
- Nor Aziz
Coventry Artspace Ltd accounts are independently verified every year by LDP Luckmans Accountants. The Trustees, who are also referred to as Company Directors, also conduct an Annual General Meeting every year at which the annual report and company finances are ratified. These reports are available on Companies House and Charities Commission websites, where changes to Trustees are also recorded.
Artspace Volunteers
The work of Artspace Staff and Trustees is supported by The Artist Advisory Group and our South and South East Asian Ambassadors.
The roles of Artist Advisory Group member, Trustee and Ambassador are voluntary (expenses only). When opportunities arise, we try to show our appreciation to these incredibly important volunteers, through additional perks such as free or reduced tickets for events, mentoring and in-kind support, such as subsidised use of space.
Join Us!
Anyone who would like to become involved with supporting Artspace through one of these volunteer roles is warmly invited to get in touch to find out more. You can email us at mail@coventry-artspace.co.uk, or by come along to one of our Artist Meet-ups which happen on the first Thursday of the month. Volunteers generally work with us for 3 to 5 years, and we usually expect a minimum commitment of 2 years, though volunteers sometimes join us for shorter periods to be involved in particular events, projects or challenges.
