Beauty & Chaos in Arcadia: A DigiPoems Installation

From 19 – 30 October 2021, Coventry Artspace will host BEAUTY and CHAOS – an exhibition of animation, poetry, and ideas curated by mixed practice artist Ije. The exhibition will be the culmination of collaborations during lockdown in 2021 between Coventry and Southern African creatives. Comexposed (Zimbabwe) and Page Poetry Alive (Zimbabwe) will present six new DigiPoems films and poetry readings virtually, sharing work by African and UK artists in collaboration for audiences in Coventry. The exhibition is supported by Writing West Midlands and the British Council, is a legacy of BBC Contains Strong Language and is supported by Coventry City of Culture Trust.
The exhibition opens on Tuesday 19th October 6-8pm with live performances from some of the poets on site in Arcadia and streamed from Southern Africa. There will be refreshments and snacks available during the event. Then from 20th to 30th October, open 10am -4pm (closed Sun/Mon).
