Out of Synch

Theo Wright is a weaver and textile artist based in Coventry, inspired by ideas in mathematics and science.

Out of Synch is a new collection of textile art by Theo Wright that explores the synchronisation and sequencing of design elements. Colour and pattern sequences are disrupted, so that they are no longer synchronised, but move in and out of alignment. Simple patterns become more complex and repeat less frequently.  Theo has handwoven each design using a 16-shaft dobby loom: single cloths in linen, and double cloths in silk.
