Coventry Artspace is a community of artists, trustees, staff and volunteers, frequently working with cultural and community partners to make and support visual art magic in Coventry.
Thank you to the many contributors!
STAFF
Lauryn Dunn, Operations Manager (currently on maternity leave to January 2027)
Lauryn oversees the management of our artist spaces, provides support for Artspace events and is the first point of contact for anyone getting in touch with the organisation. Lauryn is a graduate of Coventry University Fine Art & Illustration, and works freelance across the Midlands as an art handler/exhibition installation technician.
Mindy Chillery, Company Secretary & Book Keeper
Mindy has worked for Coventry Artspace since 2015, standing down as Executive Director in 2023. She is a graduate of De Montford University Performing Arts (Arts Administration) and has also worked extensively in the education, care, voluntary and public sectors.
TRUSTEES
Coventry Artspace is governed by a Board of Trustees who meet at least quarterly to review the organisation’s operations, management, finances, and risks. Our current Trustees are listed here. Traditionally at least 50% of our trustees are artists and we also seek to promote equality and diversity through our Board membership.
Coventry Artspace Ltd accounts are independently verified every year by LDP Luckmans Accountants. The Trustees, who are also referred to as Company Directors, also conduct an Annual General Meeting every year at which the annual report and company finances are ratified. These reports are available on Companies House and Charities Commission websites, where changes to Trustees are also recorded.
STUDIO HOLDERS AND VOLUNTEERS
Currently, Coventry Artspace does not have any studio spaces and hence no studio holders! However, we are indebted to previous studio holders Rachel Doughty and Polly Merredew for their continued support. Rachel facilitates most of our First Thursday Artist Meetings and Polly has continued her support for our social media content on Instagram and Facebook.
Many previous studio holders have played an important role in Artspace activities over the years, donating their time and expertise in numerous ways including: photography, technical and digital support, promotion of events, removals, website blogs, and much, much more.
Traditionally, at least one of our studio holders is a trustee and some have also volunteered as members of our Artist Advisory Group and our South and South East Asian Ambassadors, providing key support to the work of the staff and trustees. These roles are now in hibernation while we focus on finding a new space and transition from Eaton House to a new chapter.
CREATIVE FREELANCERS and PARTNERS
As part of the various projects we have run in recent years we have worked with many freelance artists, technicians, curators and producers, and partnered with many cultural and community organisations. We are frequently blown away by the dedication and imagination of the creatives we work with.
