Coventry Artspace is a charity dedicated to supporting and developing the visual arts in Coventry for the benefit of its citizens.

Spaces

Space is important to all creatives.  Space to think, work, experiment, meet, share, collaborate, exhibit, show.  The way we think about spaces has developed over the years, particularly with the rise of pop ups and inhabiting otherwise empty places.  We are continuing to learn and develop our thinking about spaces and how we can support artists to find the spaces they need at a cost they can afford.

Eaton House, CV1 2FJ

Eaton House is a centrally located office block. Coventry Artspace occupies Floor 4 and Floor 11. In addition to our office we have 12 individual studios, 8 shared studios, a project room, a meeting room and a shared space. In March 2025 there are 17 artists and organisations based at Coventry Artspace, Eaton House.

 

EH Studio Spaces

Currently we offer artist studio spaces at Eaton House (CV1 2FJ).  The Year 1 membership rates for use of these varies from £55 to £120 per month. If you’d like to apply for a studio space, you’ll be asked to complete a short application form (we’ll help you with this if forms aren’t your thing).

 

EH Project Space
We have a project space at Eaton House. This is available for a small charge of £32 per week (minimum booking – 1 week).  If you’d like to make use of the project space we’ll need to know how long you want the space for and we’ll also ask you to tell us:
  1. a bit about your work as an artist / creative
  2. how you intend to use the space
  3. what outcomes you’re hoping for
The project space is available for creatives of all disciplines to book, but priority is given to visual artists.

EH Meeting Room (maximum 12 people)

Our meeting room is available for creatives, cultural organisations and charities to use. Hire fee is £25/session (4hrs) with a 12% discount for artists registered on The Artspace Exchange. Hire fee for other organisations on application. We are happy to negotiate reduced hire fees for activities that support our charitable aims.

 

 

 

 

 

For more information about spaces come along to one of our First Thursday Artist Meetings 1.00pm – 2.30pm on the First Thursday of each month. Currently these meetings are held in the our shared area on Floor 4, Eaton House. They are facilitated by Artist Advisory Group member and former studio holder Rachel Doughty.
