Solo show by Helen Kilby Nelson our Graduate Artist-In-Residence. ‘Thirty Two Brains’ is a body of work influenced by semiotics, and an exploration of language that is familiar and normalised, creating micro hierarchies within contemporary society. Focusing on the stigma associated with residents of social housing in the UK, it is a critical reflection of lived and researched experiences in an era of poverty porn. The Row is a new Coventry Artspace venue in the city.  Like Eaton House it is a temporary space which we have acquired use of through our partners Axisweb.  Through October and November 2019 it will house a major exhibition by Coventry Biennial, offering a unique opportunity for artists to experiment within the visually and politically loaded setting of a disused NHS facility. We are really excited to be hosting this Coventry Biennial group exhibition in Arcadia through October and November. Theo Wright is a weaver and textile artist based in Coventry, inspired by ideas in mathematics and science. Out of Synch is a new collection of textile art by Theo Wright that explores the synchronisation and sequencing of design elements. Colour and pattern sequences are disrupted, so that they are no longer synchronised, but move in and out of alignment. Simple patterns become more complex and repeat less frequently.  Theo has handwoven each design using a 16-shaft dobby loom: single…
